FFaculty, Students & Board: As we develop more of a sense of community at WISR, everyone needs to make sure that the building is cared for properly, as you would your own home.
People using the building who end up being responsible for closing up need to know these very important procedures….
FFProcedures for The Last Person Leaving the Building
1) Close any windows that are open.
2) Close the blinds in the back computer and small conference room (north side) where there is office equipment. (On the south side the blinds can be left open, especially for the plants.)
3) Throw food waste in receptacles outside--in the can at the back of the building (if you are in a big hurry, a few items can be left in the can at the corner outside the front door, but we have been asked by the garbage collectors not to fill that up).
4) Straighten things up: Check for items people have left, wash dishes, put chairs and other furniture back approximately where it was, etc.
5) Turn off lights.
6) Lock the front door.
7) We haven’t really had problems, but it is nice to watch out for each other when leaving and going to cars; feel free to ask someone to make sure you get there safely if you are at all nervous.
Other Office Procedures….
Library: Check out books by putting the name of the book(s) and the author on a card with your name on it in the card box usually kept in John’s office. Recently purchased books should be kept for no more than 2-3 weeks. Ask John if you if you have more questions regarding procedures for checkout & return of books.
Copier: Donate $.05 per copy in the coffee mug to help defray costs; it’s a nice but expensive convenience.
Thank you! If you have any questions about these procedures, feel free to ask John Bilorusky or Marilyn Jackson.
FFFPS: Faculty, Please go over these items with students in your seminars, especially when you leave before all of the students do.
