West Oakland
Sustainable Urban Village

Ecocity Builders and WISR are embarking on an effort to team with groups and residents of West Oakland--to explore how community needs might be better met through the eventual development of a "sustainable urban village."

For more information on this project, here is the

Official "West Oakland Urban Villages Project" Brochure.

Please go to the Community Forum.

We encourage the everyone to click on the Community Forum link, and read and comment on ideas, suggestions, questions, concerns and issues that may contribute to the West Oakland neighborhoods and the West Oakland Sustainable Village project. This particular Community Forum is part of WISR's online collaboration site.

Instructions for how to use the Community Forum:

And, if you wish to receive e-mail responses to your comments, you must list your e-mail address in the body of the text of your comments (otherwise e-mail responses to your comments will go to mail@wisr.edu).

(Preferred) Option 2: If you would like your own individual user name and password, which is connected to your e-mail address, please send an e-mail to mail@wisr.edu with the subject heading: Request Enrollment in West Oakland Urban Village Class --then in the body of your e-mail give us your name (first and last) and e-mail address, and we will give assign you a user name and password, and enroll you.
