Social Change

Several articles on social change theories, issues and perspectives can be found under the "publications" section of this web site, under "Other Articles for Learning at WISR." These articles include "Thoughts on Social Change" by WISR Faculty Member, Terry Lunsford; "Social Change: Horton, Freire, and Smith," by WISR MA alumnus and PhD student, Margery Coffey; and "Endangered Languages of the Pacific: The Same Old Story" and "Critical Pedagogy and Indigenous/Minority Language Rights" by WISR PhD alumnus, David Hough. Other papers, books and dissertations on topics related to social change may be found on other web pages under "publications," including 1) WISR Occasional Papers, 2) Links to Publications by WISR Community, and 3) Papers by WISR students.

This particular page of our web site will be developed further in the coming months, in order to provide additional navigation links to those well-develped parts of our web site that focus on "social change." In the meantime, other parts of our web site have extensive information about WISR, its programs, upcoming events and seminars, news about students, faculty and alumni, strategies for learning at WISR, examples of student, alumni and faculty papers, and useful learning resources. To access the developed portions of our web site, go to the links entitled: "About," "Catalogue/Enrollment," "Newsletter," "Academic Guidance," "Publications, ""How to Help WISR," and "Learning Resources." Links to "What's New" and the "Site Map" can be found on our home page. The Site Map may be also accessed through the link "Site Navigation."
