Social Change and Multiculturality
WISR PhD alumnus, David Yamada, has written a law review article, “Intellectual Activism and the Practice of Public Interest Law,” which explores linkages between scholarship and social action in the context of legal activism, drawing heavily upon his experiences as a lawyer and law professor. The piece gives a lengthy shout-out to WISR for helping to shape his ideas about intellectual activism and includes an annotated bibliography of (mostly non-legal) books relevant to scholarship and social action that may be useful to those in WISR degree programs.
