Re: IMPORTANT! Give WISR Faculty Your Feedback. Please read carefully
Each year, WISR students are asked to again submit their annual
evaluations of faculty performance, based on contacts with faculty
in seminars and in one-on-one advising. Students may anonymously
return their forms to me [either by mail to WISR or e-mail to johnb@wisr.edu]
… all evaluations, and especially evaluations of me, may be
sent to the Chair of the Board, Bob Blackburn [4210 Bemis, Oakland,
CA 94605 or bnbblackburn@sbcglobal.net].
After reviewing them, I will share these evaluations with faculty,
and Bob will share evaluations of me with me. Based on this information,
and any other feedback from students, faculty will then be expected
to write an evaluation of their strengths and areas of needed improvement
for the coming year. I am hoping that most students will return
their evaluation forms to me by November 10th. Last year, there
were not very many forms returned--we would appreciate more responses
this year.
This year, you may download evaluation forms from WISR's web site
at: www.wisr.edu/academic/facultyevaluation.htm
There are two forms to fill out: 1) One for evaluating faculty-you
should fill out one form for each of the faculty you worked with
whom you have worked; and 2) One form on "Faculty Contact During
Past Year." You may download the necessary number of forms
and either 1) fill them out and mail them to Bob Blackburn and/or
myself; or 2) save each form as a file on your computer, then the
answer the necessary number of forms on your computer, and then
e-mail them as Word attachments to Bob Blackburn and/or myself.
If you have questions, please contact either Marilyn Jackson or
myself, and we can help you with the logics so that the effort will
not be very time consuming for you. Also, feel free to ask us to
send a hard copy of the forms, if you prefer.
